Fumble is the next door neighbor cat who comes to visit almost every day. Sometimes, she's waiting at the door when I happen to open it. It's so random that I open the door, not at the same time any day, so I wonder...how does she know I'm going to open the door? But... there she is!
She comes in and greets us in cat-ese and weaves in and out of the legs of Lore's chair for 'pets'. Lore enjoys seeing the cat and calls her, " Pussy Cat" and "Puss, Puss."
Then the cat starts "talking" about the real reason that she's there. Ice cream. She sits in front of the refrigerator looking at the freezer until I give her a teaspoon scoop .
Then, the real reason that we invite the cat in, is for a bit of entertainment. We have a piece of paper tied to a string that has become a 'chase' toy. The cat jumps and slides and dives trying to catch the elusive paper prey. It's a win win situation. The cat gets some ice cream prasadam and we get to have a good laugh watching the fun.
Once, Lore and I were talking about the cat that comes in for ice cream and to play. "If we told anybody, they wouldn't believe it. We have to make a story." she said.
Lore isn't aware that I'm writing these postings.
